Tidbits & Hotness : Business

Happy Passover weekend. I’ve been on a little Spring break this week.  I needed to take a little work-life balance break and re-energize with some books and music. I also wanted to take a moment to reconnect with my purpose on CostofWork.com, which is to be helpful, effective and relevant.

With that being said, let’s kick off this week’s Tidbits & Hotness. I should call this the business edition, because I want to encourage us all to support a few things and they require money. Yes money the best way to show some support, not sure why that’s so taboo around here but it is.

So first, Trish McFarlane wrote a great story about her twins, and at the end of the article there is a link to support her March of Dimes walk. Please read the article and make a donation, I totally will.

Next, I saw this on CBS This Morning, the CEO of Starbucks Howard Schultz was on talking about Starbucks then he went on about unemployment and how we have work to do. He talked about this new program “CreateJobs.org”. We are all in this together right? So let’s support this campaign, donate $5 bucks and you get a wristband showing your support for job creation. Come on HR, standup!

And finally, the good Dr. Daniel Crosby (@incblot on Twitter)  is touting his Tedx project titled “You’re not that great”, clearly he was not talking about me but this is totally awesome though. This one is free, so check it out, spread the word.

Alright that’s all for now. I want to thank you all for supporting CostofWork.com, I will keep working to make it better and better. Currently you can email anytime, I’m working HR Consultancy projects from branding to social media strategies to resume writing.  You can reach me here -> chris@costofwork.com or @new_resource on Twitter.
