Hello All, It’s time once again for Tidbits and Hotness; little articles and things that I’ve seen on the net or Twittersphere and want to share with you. Sometimes its HR related sometime it’s not. We mostly try to keep it casual and light but sadly this week it’s too much going on for that. It’s kinda heavy this time so let’s go!
Well, as reported the unemployment rate is lower right now than it’s been in 4 years. Hmpf, tell it to the folks at T-Mobile.
And a clear indication that “lack of work” notices are still being produced; my girl Oprah announced layoffs this week. Oh, and she also canceled “The Rosie …” oh what’s that? You don’t care about Rosie? Whew, thought it was just me.
Here’s a big story, really, you should have heard about this mess. #TrayvonMartin! Here’s a very quick back story; 17 year old kid, walking home from a corner store on a rainy night, wearing a hoodie, gets killed by a neighborhood watchmen, who’s claiming self-defense, yet Martin was armed with a bag of skittles and an iced tea. If you are not familiar with this story I implore you to read about it.
So here’s the feel good piece for the week. Mr. Washington writes a check…what’s not to like about Denzel?
